Managing Submissions
Learn how to view, manage, and export form submissions in NexusForm.
Accessing Submissions
Section titled “Accessing Submissions”- Open NexusForm from your Shopify Apps
- Click Submissions in the navigation
- View all submissions across all forms
Submissions List
Section titled “Submissions List”The submissions list shows:

| Status | Processed/Unprocessed indicator |
Filtering Submissions
Section titled “Filtering Submissions”By Form
Section titled “By Form”- Click the Form filter dropdown
- Select a specific form
- List updates to show only that form’s submissions
By Date Range
Section titled “By Date Range”- Click the Date filter dropdown
- Choose a preset range:
- Today
- Last 7 days
- Last 30 days
- Last 90 days
- All time
By Search
Section titled “By Search”- Use the search box
- Search by email or name
- Results filter in real-time
Viewing Submission Details
Section titled “Viewing Submission Details”- Click on any submission row
- Opens detailed view showing:
- All submitted field values
- File attachments (if any)
- Submission metadata (IP, timestamp, user agent)
File Attachments
Section titled “File Attachments”For forms with file uploads:
- Files are displayed as links
- Click to download/view
- Images show thumbnails
Sorting Submissions
Section titled “Sorting Submissions”Click column headers to sort:
- Date - Newest first (default) or oldest first
- Form - Alphabetically
- Email - Alphabetically
Bulk Actions
Section titled “Bulk Actions”Select multiple submissions for bulk actions:
Selecting Submissions
Section titled “Selecting Submissions”- Check the box next to each submission
- Or use “Select all” checkbox in header
- Selected count appears in toolbar
Available Bulk Actions
Section titled “Available Bulk Actions”| Action | Description |

| Export | Download selected as CSV/JSON |
| Delete | Remove selected submissions |
Deleting Submissions
Section titled “Deleting Submissions”- Select submissions to delete
- Click Delete in bulk actions toolbar
- Confirm the deletion
- Submissions are soft-deleted (recoverable by support if needed)
Exporting Submissions
Section titled “Exporting Submissions”Export Selected
Section titled “Export Selected”- Select the submissions you want
- Click Export in bulk actions
- Choose format (CSV or JSON)
- Download begins automatically
Export All
Section titled “Export All”- Click Export without selections
- Choose to export all or filtered results
- Select format
- Download the file
Export Formats
Section titled “Export Formats”CSV Format
Section titled “CSV Format”- Opens in Excel, Google Sheets
- One row per submission
- Columns for each field
- Best for spreadsheet analysis
JSON Format
Section titled “JSON Format”- Structured data format
- Preserves nested data
- Best for developer use
Export Contents
Section titled “Export Contents”Exports include:
- Submission ID
- Form name
- Submitted timestamp
- All field values
- Submitter email/name
- IP address (if collected)
Submission Details Page
Section titled “Submission Details Page”Click a submission to see full details:
Header Information
Section titled “Header Information”- Form name
- Submission timestamp
- Quick actions (Delete, Mark as processed)
Field Values
Section titled “Field Values”All submitted data organized by field:

Section titled “Attached Files”- List of uploaded files
- Click to download
- File size and type shown
Metadata
Section titled “Metadata”Technical information:
- Submission ID
- IP Address
- User Agent (browser info)
- Processed status
Processing Submissions
Section titled “Processing Submissions”Mark submissions as processed to track which ones you’ve handled:
Mark as Processed
Section titled “Mark as Processed”- Open submission details
- Click Mark as Processed
- Status changes to “Processed”
Filter by Status
Section titled “Filter by Status”- Use the status filter
- Show only unprocessed submissions
- Helps manage your workflow
Submission Limits
Section titled “Submission Limits”Depending on your plan, you may have submission limits:

Approaching Limit
Section titled “Approaching Limit”You’ll see a warning banner when nearing your limit.
Exceeded Limit
Section titled “Exceeded Limit”When limit is reached:
- New submissions are still saved
- Banner prompts upgrade
- Consider upgrading or exporting/deleting old submissions
Data Retention
Section titled “Data Retention”- Submissions are retained indefinitely
- Deleted submissions are soft-deleted
- File uploads stored securely
- Export data before deleting if needed
Tips for Managing Submissions

Section titled “Stay Organized”- Check submissions regularly
- Mark processed submissions
- Export important data
- Delete outdated submissions
High Volume Forms
Section titled “High Volume Forms”For forms with many submissions:
- Set up email notifications
- Export regularly
- Use filters to find specific entries
- Consider integrations for automation
Data Security
Section titled “Data Security”- Only authorized staff should access
- Export to secure locations
- Don’t share export files insecurely
- Delete sensitive data when no longer needed
