Installing NexusForm

This guide walks you through installing NexusForm and completing the initial setup.

Installation Steps

Step 1: Install from Shopify App Store

1. Visit the NexusForm listing on the Shopify App Store
2. Click Add app
3. Review the permissions and click Install app
4. You’ll be redirected to your Shopify admin with NexusForm installed

Step 2: Grant Permissions

During installation, NexusForm requests the following permissions:

Permission	Purpose
Read/Write Themes	To add form blocks to your storefront
Read/Write Metaobjects	To store form configurations for your theme

These permissions are essential for the app to function correctly.

Step 3: Initial Setup

After installation, you’ll see the NexusForm dashboard:

1. Welcome Screen - Choose to create a form from scratch or use a template
2. Dashboard - View your store statistics and recent activity

Adding the Theme App Block

To display forms on your storefront, you need to add the NexusForm theme block:

Step 1: Open Theme Editor

1. In Shopify Admin, go to Online Store > Themes
2. Click Customize on your current theme

Step 2: Add the Block

1. Navigate to the page where you want the form
2. Click Add section or Add block
3. Search for “Nexus Form Block”
4. Click to add it to your page

Step 3: Configure the Block

1. Click on the Nexus Form Block you just added
2. Enter the Form ID (you’ll get this after creating a form)
3. Save your theme

Verifying Installation

To verify NexusForm is correctly installed:

1. Open NexusForm from your Shopify Apps
2. You should see the dashboard with your store information
3. Try creating a test form to ensure everything works

Troubleshooting Installation

App Won’t Install

• Ensure you’re logged into the correct Shopify store
• Check that you have owner or staff permissions to install apps
• Try clearing your browser cache and cookies

Theme Block Not Showing

• Verify your theme is Online Store 2.0 compatible
• Check that you’ve saved the theme after adding the block
• Try refreshing the theme editor

Permission Errors

• Re-install the app to refresh permissions
• Contact support if errors persist
